Shana & Jacob's Wedding

Shana & Jacob's wedding was on May 8th at the Arboretum in Dallas. It was the day after we moved so luckily it was close to us this time :) Their wedding was beautiful and I'm so happy for the two of them. It was also good to see high school friends and catch up a little bit.

Colt's Graduation

We still don't have internet so I am quite a bit behind on my blogging. I am using Colt's phone for internet. We are supposed to be getting it finally on Tuesday, so we'll see if it happens this time. Colt graduated from Texas A&M - Commerce on May 15th. He graduated Summa Cum Laude, which means he was one of the very few that had a GPA from 3.9-4.0 and he got to sit on the front row.

Colt's parents, my parents and Gerald and Allison all went to his graduation that Saturday and then we went to celebrate at Salt Grass afterwards!

So he is officially done with college at Commerce and he starts UT Southwestern Medical School in August! So proud of him!
At lunch, we also had a joint German Chocolate cake to celebrate his graduation and my birthday on the 17th! Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes and presents, too!

Moved in

We closed on our house on May 7th and moved in that night so we have been in our house two weeks as of yesterday. We still have no internet or cable and we are supposed to get it on Wednesday. You don't realize how much you use those two things until you don't have them! Thanks to my mom and dad, Heath, Jacob and Colt's parents for all helping us move! Glad that part is over! Everything is coming together in the house and we are almost done decorating, etc. People said it would take a year before we were all unpacked and everything was in place, but they don't know Colt and I very well if they think that! We love our house and we're so glad that we're in it. I will post pics later!

Colt & Gerald's Graduation Party

Yesterday was Colt and Gerald's Graduation Party. Colt graduates from Texas A&M - Commerce on the 15th and Gerald graduates from Ole Miss on the 8th. Their mom's threw them a graduation party at the Devonshire Amenity Center in Forney, which is actually the amenity center in the neighborhood that Colt and I are moving to. Dede and Jamie did such a great job putting the party together. The weather was great, the food was great and we had a ton of fun! We are thankful for having such great family and friends!

It was a great party and we're so thankful so many people could come and help celebrate. We really appreciate it. I'm also going to add in here that Colt is graduating Summa Cum Laude for sure and he IS going to go walk at his graduation, whether he says he is or not! Summa Cum Laude is a big accomplishment. I think only like 1 person, Janise I know you're probably reading this and it was you, graduated Summa Cum Laude in the whole business department. It takes a lot to have that high of a GPA. I'm proud of you Colt and am excited for you and your next step in med school!

It's May and it's going to be a pretty busy month! Colt's grad party is tomorrow, we should close on our house at the end of next week and be moving, we have a wedding next weekend and you can't forget Mother's Day, Colt graduates on the 15th and my birthday is on the 17th! At least spring busy season is over at work though :)
