Letter to Cutler on his 1st Birthday (a little late)

Cutler,
Oh my sweet boy... Where do I start? I should've definitely finished writing this before your first birthday. It's now a few weeks after, and you've already changed so much and became a little wild man! We joke because your sister was not the easiest baby (at least in the sleep department) and became easy at around 11 months. So far, it seems like you might be the opposite! You were the easiest and most easygoing little baby. Then at around 11 months, you became a little handful. You are still pretty easy and sleep great, but we can't take our eyes off of you for a second! You are curious and get into everything! You've definitely gave us quite a few scares already. We are having to baby proof our house a little more than we did with your sister.

You have been the PERFECT addition to our family. I was a little surprised when I found out that we were expecting you. I was definitely nervous about having two kids. I didn't know what I was missing out on though. You have added so much joy and happiness to our family! We all love you so much. Even though some days are definitely exhausting, you and your sister are the best! You are my purpose, and I am so thankful that I get to be your mom and spend my days with you. This first year with you has went by WAY TOO fast. You've gotten way too big on me. Along with just being a big boy, you are more independent than Kinley was so I feel like I didn't have you as a baby near long enough! You aren't much of a cuddler and have never liked laying on my chest that much, but you do like for me to still cradle and rock you. I will do it as long as you will let me! You have such a big smile and the best sounds and giggles. Although you've gotten a little wild and mischievous lately, you still have the sweetest personality too. You love your daddy, but you are definitely a mommy's boy at the moment. You also love your sister. I love the way you watch her, and she can make you laugh more than any of us. She loves you just as much as you love her.  She calls you "her baby." When we are just away from you for a few minutes, she says she misses her brother.

You are so loved. I will always be one of your biggest fans and will always be here to cheer you on!
Happy late 1st birthday my baby boy! I love you.
Love, Your Mommy
