Happy New Year!! I'm starting off the new year still sick, but hopefully I will get better soon and hopefully the rest of my family that has been sick all week will get better soon too! Nothing like spending a week of my vacation from work sick at home the whole week.
Here is a little flashback of some of the main things that went on in our lives in 2010. I didn't realize what a busy year we had until I started looking back on it. It was a great and a fun year for us!
In January, we went to the Cotton Bowl again to watch Gerald play, and we got to see the new Cowboy stadium.
In January, Colt also had his medical school Match Day, and we found out that he got accepted to UT-Southwestern in Dallas!
My nephew, Logan, was born.
In February, we started looking at houses closer to Dallas and decided to build in Forney.
We also received record snow for Texas in February,
and the dogs loved playing in it.
I found out that I passed all the sections of the CPA exam and officially became a CPA!
Colt bought a motorcycle in April.
Colt and Gerald had a joint graduation party at the beginning of May.
We closed and moved into our house on May 7th
Colt graduated from A&M-Commerce on May 15th!
Colt spent the majority of the summer making chess boards. He got really good at it!
Over the summer, we went to several weddings, went to Austin and floated the river and went to Lake Travis for Colt's aunt's birthday, went to Six Flags, and lots of other little things.
We had our open house at the beginning of July.
We celebrated our ONE YEAR anniversary on July 18th :) Colt was not excited about eating year old cake!
We went to Riviera Maya, Mexico in July and took both of our moms! It was a great trip, and I'm really glad we did it!
At the beginning of August, we went to Colt's orientation weekend in Glen Rose, and then he began his life as a medical student.
Colt played and won a dodgeball tournament at school, and we played on a co-ed softball team with some of his classmates and their spouses.
Colt had his White Coat Ceremony in October.
We had people over and celebrated his birthday on Halloween.
His stepdad, David, took him to the World Series.
Colt bought a projector and built him a TV screen, which he is very proud of!
We went to Utah the week before Christmas on vacation, which I will hopefully blog about in the next few days!

And we had a very Merry Christmas with our families, which I also hope to blog about in the next few days!

Can't wait to see what all 2011 has to bring for us!
