Cutler's 1st swim - July 2018

Our now neighbors, the Sirianni's were living in an apartment while their house was being built and invited us over to swim one day. It was Cutler's 1st real swim!
Then our wild girl who cried because we wouldn't let her do a backflip into the water like her Daddy did!

Remainder August in Photos

Here's a recap of the rest of our month of August in photos and videos.

August 1st
 August 2nd
Powdered donuts for breakfast... I think this may have been the first time that she had them.
August 3rd
August 5th
We went to China Springs for Witten's 1st birthday party and stayed the night with the Burge family.
August 7th
Sitting on the potty... no we are not potty trained. For a while she showed interest. Most of it just lead to book reading time though. Now, she doesn't act interested at all.
She wanted her Minnie Mouse pajamas on over her clothes.
August 11th
We went with a playgroup that morning to the Brookshire's Wildlife Museum.
That night, we went to Benjamin Allgaier's 2nd birthday party.
August 12th
That night I found Kinley like this. She had gotten in the pantry and pulled out Froot Loops. Lucky was there for anything she happened to drop.
She got on a kick where anytime she saw something sweet, especially baby animals, she would say "Aww" and put her hands together beside her face. Here's a couple of videos of her doing it.
Here's another video from the same day of her eating spaghetti.
August 18th
Matt and Whitney came to see us on the 17th and stayed the night. Before they left on the 18th, we took Kinley and Witten to the Brookshire's Wildlife Museum to play.
That night we played on the back porch with the water hose. She wanted to do this all the time this past summer. She also remembered and wanted to do it just the other day. I had to convince her that it was too cold outside.
August 22nd
I have found Kinley hand feeding Lucky way too many times.
August 23rd
 August 25th
Playing Seek-a-Boo
August 26th
Before we left to go to Josh and Brianna's baby shower that morning, Kinley was wearing my shoes around the house.
Here's a video of Kinley when we were about to go to the baby shower. She was showing her little attitude and telling me she wanted to go see Giggy and Pa.

August 30th
Chicken and rice for dinner

Swim Lessons

Kinley is definitely a water baby and loves the water most of the time. However, our swim lessons this past summer were hit or miss... usually a miss. We got a late start because of the move and then me trying to find someone to fit us in their schedule. Because the water started cooling off before her sessions were over, we actually didn't even get to finish all our 10 lessons and got refunded what we missed. Most of the lessons we did get to go to, Kinley wasn't really a fan and cried for me most of the time. She could do everything the instructor wanted her to. She just didn't want to. It was to the point that the last couple of sessions, I left her and either sat in the car or where she couldn't see me. I think it went a little better when I did that. I mainly just signed her up for them to keep her comfortable in the water at this age. We'll try them again this coming summer and see how it goes.

Remainder July in Photos

Here's a recap of the rest of our month of July in photos and videos.

July 1st
James and Jessica's wedding was in Ft. Worth that weekend so we went to Forney and stayed the weekend. Colt's parents weren't still living there at the time, but they still owned the house there and they met us there for the weekend.  They also ended up keeping Kinley for us while we went to the rehearsal dinner and the wedding.
July 2nd
Kinley was "helping" her Daddy wash my car... saggy, wet diaper and all.
As you can tell from these two videos, her "helping" means her putting soap and water all over her Daddy, not the car!
That night we went to Braum's. Kinley and I shared a milkshake, and I'm pretty sure she got more than I did! She was a fan. It also looks like we were reading a book with our sunglasses on upside down... never a dull moment!

July 3
She was definitely in a dancing phase. She still is. This video is of me and her dancing one morning while I was trying to cook breakfast.
More pictures from our day that day... pretty girl with a pretty smile!

July 9th
We blew up her little pool that day in the front yard so her and I could play in the water. This was also about the time her hair got long enough to go up in a true ponytail.
July 10th
All her babydolls out at once
July 12th
We had just started school, and she was wanting to wear her backpack ALL the time.
New love for spaghetti
Eating apple on the trampoline
July 16th
High heels and her baby
I was so sick at the time, we were desperate. I think this particular day I had been sick ALL day. Colt made a Target run to get me some Preggie Pops to try and see if they would help. He ended up coming home with Sea-Bands for me to wear on my wrist too.
July 17th
Kinley and I made a trip to the splash pad in Whitehouse. She was surprisingly not that interested. She would've rather been in a pool.
I can't remember what happened here... evidently we were having to ice her cheek though.
July 20th
We joined Josh and Brianna, along with the Allgaier's, to swim. Our fearless child was going off the diving board that day.
Here's the video of her jumping off the diving board with the help of her Daddy and Uncle Josh.

July 29th
Taking over her Daddy's stuff... I would find her in the media room all the time with his headphones on and either his keyboard or controller in her hands.
A little video of Kinley dancing... She went through a little phase where she would do fast feet when she danced. I was trying to catch it on video, but she was just trying to chase me around.

 July 30th
More trying to be like Daddy
Giggy and Pa came to town. We went to Braum's so someone got ice cream.
July 31st
And still at it... she just might end up liking video games like him.
