Remainder February in Photos

February 15th
We had Cutler's newborn pictures that day. We took family and sibling photos first. Then when it was brother's turn for his solo pictures, Colt took Kinley across the street and they did some "bird watching" and had a smoothie.
Worn out big sister with her blanket and her "Tigey"
February 16th
Kinley went to stay the night with her Giggy and Pa and Colt was at work so I got some one on one time!
February 17th
This is how I looked a lot of those first few days... tired... my pregnancy acne still there and red bloodshot eyes! I had a cute little baby in my arms though!
February 19th
She's back and "helping."
Colt was staying in Sulphur Springs for work. This was Kinley awake in her bed after 11pm that night. I don't know if she just didn't want to miss something or what but there for a while, she was not easy to get to bed and would stay up in her room forever. Thankfully, it didn't last.
February 20th
Here's a sweet video at bedtime that night of Kinley and Cutler. She would always "introduce" herself there for a while. In the video, she's saying, "Hi, baby brother, big brother Kinley."
February 21st
We got a new stroller to help accommodate both kids. Evidently she was in charge of her outfit that day!
My Uncle Butch passed away that day. It was sudden and evidently related to flu complications. He was the last person really left on my dad's side of the family. They were super close, especially the last few years. My dad took it and is still taking it pretty hard. Uncle Butch loved us, and evidently he loved looking at pictures and hearing about Kinley. Because the flu was going around like crazy at the time, we decided not to go to Texarkana for the funeral because we didn't want to expose Cutler with him being so young. It's still hard to believe my uncle is really gone.

Birdwatching while going for a walk (still in our pajamas in the middle of the day)
Bedtime
February 26th
Colt was off that day so we took Kinley to the park to play. I wore Cutler in the baby carrier the whole time while Colt chased Kinley around.
February 27th
What dinner time looked like at our house most of the time... I wore Cutler so I could cook and eat.
February 28th
One of our neighbors little girls, Eva, that is a few years older than Kinley came over and played with Kinley for a bit. When Eva saw Cutler, she was surprised and asked when we got him. Kinley is a little protective of her brother. She likes to make sure everyone knows that he's her brother.

Muscles from Daddy

February 21st
Colt's friend, James, had got us this dumbbell rattler as a gift, and I bought this onesie before he was born. The day I put it on him, I decided to take some pics of him "working out." We actually think Cutler is built more like my family so far but we'll see what happens!

Valentine's 2018

Cutler's first Valentine's... his grandma bought him this onesie. Daddy wasn't a fan so it didn't last long that day.
Kinley was into Valentine's Day this year.
Her and Daddy both got a card. She played with these cards for probably a month and regifted them everyday.
Here's a video of her opening her Valentine and helping Daddy open his.
She didn't get to go to school on the day that they exchanged Valentines. Her teachers saved her sack of Valentines and send it home with her. She loved them. These were played with daily for a while too.

Our First Week as a Family of 4

February 9th
We had an appointment at the pediatrician that morning, and his jaundice levels were a little high.
Kinley getting used to her big sister role (aka changing the settings and waking him up)
Naptime for little man and puzzle time for my big girl
By far the hardest part of the initial phase of having 2 kids was juggling both and trying to feel like I wasn't neglecting Kinley, especially when you are nursing so much at the very beginning.
We made it a full day at home
After our first sink bath... I had a heater on the counter to keep him warm but he still obviously wasn't a fan.
February 10th
Still a little yellow but he got cleared at his pediatrician appointment that day and we didn't have to be admitted to the hospital!
Full and content
February 11th
Cutler's actual due date
This is what those first days as a mom of 2 looked like!
February 12th
Colt was working and the 3 of us went on our first outing. It was for grocery pickup. Thank goodness for grocery pickup and not having to go in the grocery store with a newborn!
Naptime
February 13th
We built a fort in the living room. She tried to fly and jumped into the blanket! Of course the blanket collapsed and she hit the ground!
Real life with a toddler on the verge of potty training and a newborn!
There's definitely never a dull moment at our house!
