Colt's Spring Break consisted of House Drama pretty much everyday this past week. He would go out there to just check on it and see how things were going and it seemed like everytime he went, there would be something wrong! First off, he had to deal with electrical changes, which the builder was supposed to meet with him about before electrical even started. That was a quick fix and all the changes are already done regarding that. They missed a floor plug that we had put in the living room, which should have been put in before the slab was poured. That wasn't a big deal either because we really didn't care about it. It was just something we added, but it's just the fact that they missed it and it was a quick compromise as well. We are supposed to receive 4 can lights and a ceiling fan instead. Now they are saying just 4 can lights, so we'll see what happens with that. Then I guess it was Thursday morning when he went out there and they were working on bricking and were bricking around the garage wrong. In the contract, we specifically stated that we wanted a recessed area around both garages. The owner knew what we were talking about but evidently the girl that wrote the contract up didn't know what we were talking about and the builder never knew anything about it. Well if you aren't sure about something, then ask! Anyways, after Colt arguing and the builder being a jerk about the whole situation. Colt and his mom talked to the owner and supposively they are supposed to come up with a solution to the problem today. Then Friday, Colt dealt with kitchen island issues all day. He didn't like where it was being framed in at and he went out there and measured where it should go. When I got off work Friday night, we went over there to look at his measurements and verify that was where we wanted it. The builder was basically saying it was where it was at and Colt ended up telling him that it was going to be where he said it was going to be exactly or it would be moved. They should have finished the framing of that yesterday so we will probably go over there later today and check on it. It's funny everyone we talked to said they never had any problems with the builder or the company but we seem to be all the time here lately! I think everyone else just built their standard house and had no changes in their contract. They act like we are making changes and Colt's a picky customer or something, but really we are making NO CHANGES that weren't laid out in the original contract! Anyways, enough rambling about that, the house still looks great so far. It was already dark when we got out there Friday, but here are a few pics.

He's such a good husband!
