May Iphone extras

Our house in Temple has wood floors so we knew we would want an area rug for the living room. We ended up finding this one at Home Depot. We bought it while we were in Forney because it was on sale. This was us just testing it out. I think we ended up going a size bigger. It's pretty and looks good in our room, but it sheds so bad!

Testing out all my work stuff in Forney to make sure there weren't any issues
A little note that Colt wrote after his graduation party. I'm glad after 5 years, I've taught him that I am indeed the boss ;)
Before our move, Colt wanted a new couch. He doesn't like our couches, but I love them. We almost got this couch as a replacement because we used to have a sectional and we loved it.
We ended up getting this loveseat instead. I wasn't sold at first but Colt thought it was super comfortable and loved how it reclined.
While we were still debating, he came home and mapped out a diagram of our future (at the time) living room to make sure it would fit with our existing couch and overssized chair. It does and it looks good. It would honestly probably look a little empty without it.
My parents got me dishes for my birthday so I ended up ordering about every type of bowl they made to see which ones I liked best.

Since he got the couch, I got the Pottery Barn bedding I wanted. We made several trips to Pottery Barn and then to three different ones to get exactly what we wanted!
Colt was the designer and laid it all out to make sure it's what we wanted. Pictures of our purchase and what it looks like are here. Still love it and have gotten a ton of compliments on it! Colt's mom ended up buying the same bedding in blue, and another couple that we met in Temple ended up placing an order for some bedding from there too. It's expensive but I think it's worth it!
Since Colt was off right before our move, he had our house packed up way in advance and I didn't have to really do much of it.

And me knocked out on it after I found out I had pneumonia on the day of Colt's graduation
On May 31st before the move, we had out last workout at our gym in Forney. Since I was sick, I still couldn't work out so I went and watched and said bye while everyone else worked out.

Colt's Medical School Graduation (and pneumonia)

I wrote about the week or so leading up to graduation here. Graduation day was on Friday, May 30th. That morning, since I was still sick, and it didn't seem to be getting better, while Colt went to the school that morning, I went to the CareNow in Forney. After seeing the doctor and a chest x-ray, I found out that I had pneumonia... which is what Colt thought and probably the reason why I never got better on my own. So it was a breathing treatment for me and then to pick up more meds and inhalers before I slept the day away (yet again) until it was time to get ready.

Colt's family and my family met up at our house and headed into Dallas for dinner at Uncle Julio's before graduation.
Colt left dinner before the rest of us to head to get ready for graduation. Graduation was held at the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House downtown. I really wish we would've gotten there a little earlier because I would've liked to get some more pics outside while it was still daylight.
Here is a pic that I stole from Katie 's blog of Brock, Adam, Ryan and Colt before graduation.
Here is the video of Colt graduating and officially becoming a M.D.
And some pics that I snapped during graduation (in-between blowing my nose). To me, it seems like it wasn't long ago that we were heading to pre-op and starting medical school.
Colt was indeed the only one wearing blue jeans and boots! That's him though.

Gerald and Allison couldn't make it to dinner, but they made it to graduation

I am super proud of Colt for all of the hard work and hours he's put in. I know he's going to make a great doctor, and I'm excited to keep watching him grow in his career!
