Kinley was getting into playing with her babies. She thought she needed to lay in the baby bed with her baby though. Needless to say, this baby bed didn't last too long before it broke.

Her nightime routine... drinking her milk in our bed. Of course, she was also wearing her Minnie Mouse pajamas and house shoes. I think this was around the time her Minnie kick started. She didn't like it if she didn't have her Minnie pajamas on after her bath. I had to buy her another set of the same pajamas!

Gymnastics - January 31st

These pictures and video were taken about a month into her little gymnastics classes. She was having fun flipping, hanging on the balance beam and jumping on the trampoline.

Remainder Weekend at Giggy and Pa's

After Tenison's birthday party, Kinley and I went to my parents for the rest of the weekend. She loves playing with all our old toys from when me and my brothers were little. She also liked petting the stuffed deer on the wall on this trip. Before Kinley and I headed back to Temple, we stopped at Dairy Queen in Mt. Vernon with my parents on our way out.  With my Dad, Kinley had to get ice cream of course. She started with a spoon. However, she quickly realized Pa wasn't using a spoon so she wasn't either! 

Tenison's Birthday Party

Tenison's birthday party was on January 21st. Colt was working that weekend so Kinley and I made the 4 hour trip from Temple to Pittsburg for the party. We went straight to the party from our house. It ended up being chillier that day than I had planned when I dressed her that morning... and of course, she wanted to play outside the whole time at the party.

When we lived in Temple, if we were able to make it to birthday parties and other family functions, it was usually a whole weekend ordeal. Now that we're in Tyler, being able to make it to things will hopefully be a little easier!

On to the rest of 2017... Kinley's First Gymnastics Class

January 5th, we tried our first gymnastics class at Powerhouse Cheer and Fitness in Belton. Kinley was 18 months old. They let you try your first class for free. I wasn't sure how she would do, but she ended up doing great. She liked the bars and the balance beam the best! Colt was off that night and got to go watch her first class. After that, we signed up. I figured it was something we could do and she would have fun with while it was colder outside. About every other week, she wanted to participate. The other weeks, she just wanted to run around and play. We stuck with it for three months, until the end of March. By then, I felt like we weren't really doing anything new and that I could do a lot of what we were doing at the park ourselves.

Here's a little video of her on the balance beam. The video is pretty cute. At the end, she claps and is pretty proud of herself!

I thought about putting her in gymnastics here in Tyler now that she's a tiny bit older. However, when I called, it was going to be a lot of money up front with registration fees, the monthly fee, and here, they make you buy a $65 uniform. I asked if we could try it firs,t and they don't let you here. Colt thought it sounded too serious to him, and I didn't want to commit that much money right now at her age for something she may not want even have fun with. Instead of gymnastics, we opted with soccer for this fall instead. We just want her to have fun, and it seemed like the most fun and less serious option out of the two.

Will she be possibly be a future pole vaulter or cheerleader like her Mommy or take after her Daddy and play soccer?!? Who knows?!? Right now at 2, she is loving her soccer practices though! Mommy might just have to learn something about soccer since I know nothing!  

Colt's Ford Raptor

I couldn't tell you how many times Colt checked the status of his truck before it got delivered. I also couldn't tell you how often he was washing it there at first OR how many pictures he took of it. Matt Burge got a pretty much identical Raptor to Colt's, and Whitney said Matt was the same way about washing it! When Colt got to Wichita Falls to pick up his truck, it was pretty scratched up. He had the option to drive all the way back to Wichita Falls for them to fix it later. However, he was paying a guy in Austin to put a glass coating on the paint called Modesta. The guy said that he could correct it prior to coating it and probably do a better job than the dealership. Colt just let him do it instead. The coating that Colt got is supposed to make black cars super easy to keep clean. Colt said it really does work. Two of the staff at Scott and White had gotten it put on their black cars prior to Colt. Josh had gotten it put on his new truck as well. 

Oh...and pretty much as soon as Colt got in his new truck to head home with it from Wichita Falls, he got a speeding ticket in town! He wasn't even testing the truck out or hot rodding it, he was just in a little speed trap in town.

I'm not positive really if this is where he stopped with the add-ons. I think it is though. He definitely still loves his truck, and it seems like everyone else that sees it does too. I will say that I didn't even know what a Ford Raptor was until Colt starting getting on the list to order his. When we first got it though, I drove it to the gym, and had guys in the gym staring at it. The owner of the gym had to go out and look at and in it. We have been several places where people either comment on it or you see them standing by it staring. He has also has had people message him on this group that he is in saying that they've seen him driving around town. They could tell it was him because of the lights that he added. Colt even had my Dad talking to dealerships about getting himself one for a while. My Dad also kept his truck and drove it around while we are on vacation in Florida, and my Dad is usually not a Ford guy at all. From my perspective, it is more roomy than his old truck which is better for traveling with Kinley and the dogs. Other than that, Colt likes it so that's all that matters!
