Happy New Year!

It is 2010! Last night we celebrated New Year's at our house, just us and our dogs.We were planning on going to eat, but we didn't want to get out in the cold and rain so I cooked tacos and we watched movies together. It was great!

Happy Birthday to my Daddy!

The day after Christmas is my dad's birthday. He decided he wanted to go eat at a place in Mt. Pleasant called Mardi Gras. When we got there it was also karaoke night! Colt had Christmas that day at his grandparent's in Watauga so he couldn't go and Lily ended up running fever so her and Nadine ended up staying home as well, so it was me, my parents, Joe, Heath and Jennifer! It was hilarious watching some of the people sing! We had a really good time and enjoyed celebrating his birthday together. My mom has more pics, but this is one of my parents that I took on my camera!

Happy Birthday!!
Here are a couple of more pics that my mom gave me later.

Christmas Day

We spent Christmas Eve night at Colt's parents in Forney to be there Christmas morning with his neice and nephew, Davallen and Jacob. We heard them giggling at about 8 as they were looking down the stairs at what Santa brought and that's when the fun started! We all got up to see what Santa brought. The kids were fun to watch! We relaxed  and watched the kids play the rest of the afternoon and had lunch, then we headed back home. We did nothing the rest of the day and watched The Proposal together Christmas night. It was a great Christmas (our first Christmas as Mr. and Mrs. Smithson) and I enjoyed spending time with both of our families over the holidays!

Christmas Eve

We spent the 23rd with my parents and were there Christmas Eve. Right about the time both of my brother's were supposed to get there and dinner was almost done the electricity went out! We had to take the dressing outside to cook it in the camper since it has a gas stove and we took our annual family pic in the dark! Right about the time we were done eating the lights came back on!

The whole family and Pistol too (mom's puppy)!

Shortly after gifts, Colt and I had to leave to try and get to his grandparents in Rockwall before it got too late. There was a lot more snow up our direction than there was at my parents, but luckily the roads weren't bad.

Christmas Eve's Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with Colt's family so we planned on doing our Christmas with just us and the dogs the morning of the 23rd. Colt and I decided we didn't want to wait so we exchanged gifts the night before and we had our dog's Christmas the next morning!

Colt's a great gift buyer. He's good at paying attention to little hints and even buying stuff you didn't even know you wanted! I loved everything and we had a great time! Our Christmas together is one of my favorite times during Christmas!

Blowing up my new stability ball for working out. He got me a new workout mat too!

Yeah another sweatshirt! I got him a white one before Christmas and he just loved it and wanted the black one too! Surprise, surprise!

Him in some of his new workout gear. He was trying to look like a gangster!

The next morning we did the dog's Christmas. Colt was disappointed that all he had in his stocking was a note from me. He loves Turtles and I usually get them for him, but I waited til last minute and the gas station up the road didn't have them. It turned out to be a good thing though because he got tons of Turtles and Millionaires from everyone else this year!

Lucky and Alex each had a bone in their stockings which I shouldn't have let them have first because then they didn't care about anything else. Then Lucky got a little reindeer stuffed animal and Alex got a huge bone. Then together they got a big stuffed play toy! We love our dogs :)

I think Santa came!

Christmas has come and gone

I know your supposed to leave your Christmas decorations up until after New Year's but today I took everything down. I had time and I figured I wouldn't have as much time next week so it's done! Here's a few pics of our house though before we took them down. Also I'm about to update the blog with everything we did over our Christmas break!
