Tiny Prints UPDATED

The last Tiny Prints post that I made ended up not working as planned, but with the assistance of their great staff, I was given another opportunity to blog about their products!!
Tiny Prints has a great selections of Christmas cards to choose from. I have ordered from them in the past and was more than satisfied with my order.
There are so many designs that it's hard to choose just one, but I think I would order something like this or at least a similar design with maybe a few less pics. We didn't take Christmas pictures this year so I want something I can put  at least a couple of pictures of us throughout the year... plus I have to leave a spot on the card for a picture of our dogs too!
I got my first Christmas card in the mail today... which made me realize even more that I need to get ours ordered so we can get them in the mail before Christmas!
It also made me realize that I need to come up with a cuter way to display my Christmas cards this year!

Fall Subway Art Printable

Here is a cute cheap fall decoration that I printed off this weekend. All you need is a sheet of cardstock, a printer and an empty picture frame!
Go HERE to get the free printable courtesy of eighteen25.  They have 2 color choices for fall, and they have a printable for every holiday. They are all super cute so I'm sure I'll be printing more of their freebies in the future!

Colt's Actual B-day and Halloween

We had school and work on Colt's b-day so that morning I had thawed out and marinated chicken to cook him one of his favorite dinners that night. His stepdad had to go to the hospital that day so after we got off, we stopped to see him. Before we even went to the hospital, he was hungry and didn't want to wait so we had drive-thru Taco Bueno for his 24th birthday dinner! And after we got home, this is pretty much what he was doing the rest of his birthday night! He was playing a new video game, and I was giving out candy to trick-or-treaters.
I did dress up the dogs in their annual Halloween costumes. I put the same ones on them every year!  Lucky has at least put on his costume the last 4 years and Alex the last 3.  Lucky definitely does not like his Halloween costume so after this year, I may have to retire their costumes.
Can you tell he was not very happy?
Alex could care less .... She's pretty easy going.
My spider and devil on the lookout for trick-or-treaters.
And pouting... so the costumes came off.
Happy Birthday to Colt! and Happy Halloween!

Colt's Pre B-day Celebrations

Colt's birthday fell on a Monday this year. He had his cardio block test the Friday before. After the test that Friday, he went and played golf. We had plans to get together with his family for his birthday that night but his mom ended up getting sick so plans were rescheduled, and the two of us watched Game 7 of the World Series that night. Unfortunately the game did not end too great for the Rangers. Game 6 was definitely their chance to win it but after extra innings, that didn't happen. Saturday afternoon Colt went and played in a golf scramble with David, and that night we met my parents in Greenville at Chili's to celebrate Colt's birthday! We didn't get any pics that night but it was great to see them and my dad got to see his "favorite son-in-law" on his birthday! He is the only son-in-law, but this is how my dad signed his card! The card was pretty cute too.
Sunday morning, I made Colt waffles with his new waffle maker my parent's got him as part of his birthday gift. I had mentioned it to my mom that Colt liked waffles more than pancakes and that we didn't have a waffle maker... so now he has one!
Sunday evening, we went to Salt Grass in Rockwall with Dede, David, Nicci and Davallen for a little more birthday celebrating. Colt's mom got us wine glasses because we had asked to borrow some from her for a dinner we were having. Colt through a little fit because we didn't need them ... but mainly because he doesn't like people spending money and making a fuss over him! But after his fit was over, all was good and it was a great dinner!! And for the record, he says he didn't throw a fit, he said he "just wasn't happy."
Also, if you know my husband, he is definitely a techie. They also got him the new i-phone, which he is on as I am typing this!
After dinner, we went back to our place and we actually did get a few pics of that night since the whole family was there.

Happy Birthday Colt, even though you don't like people making a big deal about your birthday!

Alex's 3rd B-day

Alex turned 3 on October 17th!
Colt letting her have her birthday present.
Of course, Lucky had to have a look at it.
Her new baby -  Her old security toy has had it so we are trying to get her to replace it, and I think this toy has done a pretty good job of it!
She loves it. It has a big tug ring on the belly and it rattles and squeaks. What can beat that?!
She is one sweet baby girl.

Colt's Small Group Dinner

Now that it's been OVER a month since this happened, I guess I'll blog about it! We invited Colt's mentor, his small group and the small groups above him over to our house on Friday, November 4th. It seems like it wasn't very long ago, but it's already mid December! November really flew by!
A couple of people in his small group had been wanting to come over and see the house and hang out for a while so we finally planned it and made it happen! It ended up being mainly just his small group, but his mentor, Dr.Vicioso, came, along with his big sib, Scott, that is a year above him and a 4th year that is in the process of applying for residencies.
We had a good time and it was great to get to catch up with his small group because I hardly ever get to see any of them.

Colt kinda had his mouthful.
Dr. V brought a birthday cake with her from since Nancy and Colt had just celebrated both of their birthdays a few days before.
Our makeshift birthday candle - It's all we could find!

These are a few pics before the crowd hit. We had taco soup, praline pecan crunch, fruit and pumpkin roll. It was my first time to make a pumpkin roll, so it wasn't the prettiest but it tasted good and that's all that matters! I ended up making two for different Thanksgivings and they got prettier with practice!

Lucky's Injury - 9/18

This is out of order and I'm way behind, but I'm going to try and get caught up this weekend.
A while back we went over to Brock and Lindsey's for dinner. While we were there it started storming like crazy, and we had left both of the dogs outside that night not knowing that the storm was coming.
We hurried home when it looked like it was getting bad and we got home to two soaking wet dogs and one that was injured! We're not too sure what he did to his nose?! All the skin was off and it was swollen on the left side. I felt bad for him and babied him, but he didn't act like he was in too much pain. He was just glad we were home. We ended up just putting neosporin on it, which he immediately licked and rubbed off.
We either think he got scared, stressed out and either ran into the grill, the dog house or something or Alex got scared and accidentally did it to him.. or the most likely story is he ran into the electric fence. He had been getting out a lot lately and somehow getting under or over the electric fence and finding a way out. Colt adjusted the wire and basically doubled it up at his little spot where he had been getting out. I think he wasn't expecting it to be there and with the rain, he just ran into it. Either way, he's all better now. Poor guy.
His swollen little nose
He is definitely a little brat. We haven't had any trouble with him getting out since then though, which I guess is a good thing that came out of it.
