4 Year Anniversary

Our 4 year anniversary was on July 18th, which fell on a Thursday this year. We said we celebrated by going on vacation so we didn't have any plans the day of. I think after work, we came home and ordered take out Tokyo Harbor for dinner but I can't even really remember for sure! Colt did make me a  card that he won't let me take a picture of and put on here. It was sweet though and I loved it! I was a bad wife and I didn't get him anything. We quit doing gifts for each other a while back but I didn't even end up with him a card this year. Sorry babe!
It seems like the past 4 years have went fast.
Colt, I love you even more now than I did 4 years ago and it just keeps getting better! I am looking forward to spending many more years with you and can't wait to see what the future has in store for us.

Davallen's B-Day

Davallen's birthday was on July 15th. After Colt and I got done working out that Monday night, we went to his mom's house for Davallen's birthday dinner. It could have been Colt's birthday dinner because Colt got to choose what we were having, which was of course pork chops and green beans. Denean, Peter, Jamie, Victoria and Blake all came to celebrate too.

And all the money she ended up with to go on a shopping spree
After dinner and birthday presents, it was Monday night so we watched the Bachelorette of course and had cupcakes. As you can tell from the pics, Colt was up to something. I'm pretty sure he was "helping" blow out candles. Davallen was also wanting the cupcake with the "D" on it, and Colt ended up stuffing her face in it.
So he got it stuffed back in his and he ate her cupcake!

Tooter and Linda's 50th Wedding Anniversary

We got home from our vacation late on a Monday night. I was off Tuesday to relax, get my hair done and run errands, and then I was back at work the rest of the week. I was having my 10 year high school reunion the following weekend so that Saturday I ran to Rockwall to get decorations and a few other things for it. That Sunday, July 14th, we went to Rockwall to celebrate Colt's grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. A ton of people were there to celebrate with them.

St. Thomas - July 8th

Monday was our last day of vacation. We had to drop our rental car off at 3 that afternoon and our flight was leaving at 4:35. That morning we went to the main beach to lay out and snorkel one last time. We snorkeled to the left over in the grassy area, and we ended up seeing a sting ray with a barb or tail that was about 8 foot long.

We went back up the the room around lunch to clean up, pack and eat lunch. For lunch we cleaned out the fridge and had sandwiches and leftovers. Once we loaded up the jeep, we went ahead and headed towards the airport.

We did a lot of reading that last day at the airport and on the plane. I finished another book, Edge of Never and Colt did a lot of studying and read his Game of Thrones book. I love my ipad mini I won from work by the way!

When we were leaving the St. Thomas airport, the guy at the security checkpoint started talking to Colt and I. He said we looked like couple that worked out and we went on to tell him that we did CrossFit. When Colt asked him if he'd ever heard of it, he said he actually did it and had done it that morning. Evidently there was a CrossFit St. Thomas not far from where we stayed. I didn't think they would have one there. I wish we would've known before we were leaving because we would have probably dropped in and checked it out. If we ever go again, now we know though.

We had an amazing and relaxing vacation! It's definitely a place we would love to go back to and definitely a place that we would recommend to others.

This was Alex waiting in the car when Dede and David came to pick us from the airport late Monday night.

St. Thomas - July 7th

Sunday we had thought about possibly going back to St. John but decided not to and to just stay and hang out on our beach again instead. We set on the beach for a couple hours until it started raining. It rained hard for a long time so we ended up just reading in the room for a lot of the day. I finished the 3rd book of the CrossFire series that I had been reading and started another book.

Pics outside the room Sunday morning
When we were walking to the main beach we weren't paying attention and he was charging right at us in attack mode!

Since it was still gloomy out, we drove and had a late lunch/early dinner at Iggie's. I had a grilled chicken wrap and Colt had a fried chicken sandwich. On the way back from eating, we made a little grocery stop, which included cinnamon rolls that ended up being our snack that night as well as breakfast the next morning. After we got back from Iggie's and the sun came out for a little while, we went and sat on the beach again.
Right before dark we headed to Secret Harbour Resort to watch the sunset because there was supposed to be a better view there. Colt ended up feeding fish while we were sitting there, and I ended up getting ate up by something and didn't realize it. By the time I got home, I had bites all over me.
