Thursday morning, the 4th of July, we got up early and went to Coki Beach to snorkel. We were basically the first ones on the beach and the only ones in the water for a while. There were tons of fish there. They feed them so the fish right off the beach are used to people. Three fish called little jacks started swimming with Colt as soon as we got in the water and they stayed with him swimming right under his chest the whole time we were snorkeling. We snorkeled for at least 1 1/2 hours or more. We saw tons of different fish, baracuda, baby baracudas, thousands of minnows, a sea cucumber and what a guy told us was a shark sucker. It looked like a mini shark and kinda freaked me out a little bit.
We didn't get any pictures that morning.
We went and had lunch back at our room and spent the rest of the day on the beach.

That night we went into Red Hook and ate dinner at a place called Molly Molone's. It had good reviews, but both mine and Colt's meals were awful! He got chicken fried steak that was barely edible, and I got chicken quesadillas that were definitely not anything spectacular... not to mention it was the most expensive meal we ate while we were there. They were having a 4th of July special with ribs and we should've just went with that instead of what we ordered.
That night they were having a fireworks show at Cruz Bay in St. John. We had the perfect view of the show right from our balcony. Everyone else at our resort came and were sitting on the beach right in front of our room to watch the show across the water. Colt took a TON of firework pictures so here are just a few.
